What's awesome is in the deluxe CD set there are extensive liner notes with band members' thoughts on various songs. still looking for a vinyl copy of it! It's all in Spotify too. It's disc 3 of the CD box set and also came out for record store day a while back but I never picked it up sadly :(. I really like the Alternate Tusk album too. I also love this album after just discovering it in the last couple of years. Tusk definitely deserves to be considered a benchmark for the shape of popular rock music to come and of course, one of the best albums ever made.Īlso, it has "Think About Me" on it and that song SLAPS.
Even tho this is a messy album, it makes me feel like even top 40 rock dudes are always a break up away from making something that can be something different for its time. I am not sure if he succeeded or not but what he did end up doing is making a huge album filled with songs that at first, seem forgettable but eventually grow on you. He cut his hair and set out to write Fleetwood Mac's version of a post punk album a la Talking Heads. Lindsay Buckingham ended up being the de facto leader of the group after Rumours and basically lost his marbles.
